 Roscoe and Gilmore
Corinth, Mississippi’s own Roscoe Turner, aviation showman and flamboyant pilot, always flew with a lion cub, Gilmore, as an oil company promotion. Turner was best known for his skills as a racing pilot.

 Glory Days, Remembered
During the Golden Age of Aviation, Chuck Yeager was the first test pilot to smash the sound barrier. Millet painted him with his World War II P-51 fighter Glamorous Glen, named for his wife, using a realistic oil technique.

 Air to Air
This Millet painting depicts the Key Brothers endurance record flight. Mark’s uncle A. D. Hunter is known for his part in the air to air refueling of the Key Brothers’ famous flight which took place in 1935 over Meridian, Mississippi. The plane named “Ole Miss”is now in the Smithsonian Museum.
