Recording
the disappearing scenes of the south and aviation history and
Mississippi sport legends, such as Archie Manning (Mark is pictured
here with Archie Manning as Archie signed Mark's painting Rebel Days) and
Brett Favre,
is his passion. Marks main inspiration for painting scenes
of the days gone by is his children. He wants to create a history for them of the
simpler times though his paintings. He has been painting the disappearing
scenes of the south for twenty years, but now it is even more
important to record a legacy for his children.

Following a long line of artists, Marks talent and his interest
in art came to him naturally. Mark is now a full time artist,
painting daily at his Ridgeland, Mississippi studio. His time
is spent mostly on commissioned paintings and limited edition
prints. Mark Millet has been commissioned by numerous companies
and individuals throughout the country to create original works
of art which depict the history of our country. Millet has also
been commissioned to do portraits including Jerry
Clower, Sonny
Montgomery, and Chuck
Yeager.
Mark Millet is a charter member and president of the Professional
Artists League of Mississippi, as well as a member of the Mississippi
Watercolor Society.
